Song of the Earth
Yamanashi is a town at the base of Aokigahara, the Suicide Forest. Also called the Sea of Trees, it is a forest people enter to die: the most popular suicide location in Japan and very possibly the world. It is also the center of the Chakravanti influence in Japan.
Because of the volcanic ash on the ground, only trees can grow there: there are no small plants or wildlife, which creates an eerie stillness. It’s very easy to go wandering there and not return. Before it was used for suicides, people used to be abandoned there to die.
